This week we have the pleasure of hearing from Annette Brechon Kuyper and Dr. Gary Goldetsky. They will be talking about the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Program. More specifically, the Plymouth Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Program. For more information on the program, please visit the website.
Fire and Ice is on! Glen Norton and Jason Cardwell are heavy into the planning and are looking for volunteers to help with the event. The fishing contest will run from 3pm to 5pm. Glen and Jason have started the sign up (at the January 21 meeting and via e-mail). If you can help please sign up or simply show up. Help is need starting at 2pm to start setting up and making holes. Then at 3pm members will help kids bait hooks and catch the big one!. The event will stop at 5pm and then help will be needed to close everything down and bring all equipment, etc. back to the cars.
This year we are also looking for hats and mittens/gloves to donate to kids and families. If you want to donate, please bring to the event.
This is a great way for the Club to let the general public know what Rotary is and what we do in the community. Hope to see everyone on the ice on Saturday.

Members - please think about how you can be part of this great program.
Did you know? According to the Mayo Clinic, a healthy adult heart should beat anywhere from 60 to 100 times a minute while at rest. That totals around 100,,000 beats a day and 2.5 billion beats in the average life time.
The body's system of blood vessels is more than 60,000 miles long. Together, all of the arteries, veins, and capillaries in the body are long enough to go around the world more than twice.
The aorta, the largest artery in the body, is almost the diameter of a garden hose. Capillaries, on he other hand, are so small that it takes ten to equal the thickness of a human hair.
The body contains about six quarts of blood, which circulates through the body three times every minute. In one day, the blood travels four times the distance of the US from coast to coast.
The Grant Committee is accepting grant applications which will be considered soon. Plymouth Rotarians must sponsor each application. First half grants will be awarded in January. Second half grants will be awarded in early Spring, 2016. Please review the Grant Policy and find the Grant Application Form at http://rotaryplymouth.org/Page/grants . Contact Past President Steve Beachler if you have questions.

Riddles
1) A pregnant lady named her children: Dominique, Regis, Michelle, Fawn, Sophie and Lara. What will she name her next child? Jessica, Katie, Abby or Tilly?
2) A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?
3) This object can be driven, but has no wheels, and can also be sliced and remain whole. What is it?
The 4-Way Test: Of the things we think, say or do:
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
