Rotary Club of Plymouth Members,

Please take a moment to click on the link below that will take you to the new Club Facebook page!!  Once on that page we encourage you to “Follow” the page and “Like” the page as well! (Just click on the appropriate spots on the page).  Feel free to share this message with others that you know to increase the reach of Rotary Club of Plymouth information and also encourage new people to join the Club!

If you have any questions regarding the link or the page please contact Dave Kiser at 763-278-4169 or dkiser@ccxmedia.org.

MAYBE YOU DO NOT USE FACEBOOK:
Here is another option. If you have ever sought a new professional position you probably used LINKEDIN. Here is the link to our group there, and you can join us and some significant past members there.

You will help our club be found by potential new members. You will be glad you did. Thank you!

Please check your heart. Is it beating?
If it is you should be giving to the Rotary Club of Plymouth Foundation so that if it suddenly stops someday there will be someone who is trained and has the equipment available to get it started again.

Heart Safe Note:
Here are the dates for the upcoming classes which run from 7:00pm to 8:15pm:

Thursday, February 23

Thursday, March 9

Thursday, March 16

To register for one of these classes and get location address and room information, visit heartsafeplymouth.eventbrite.com.

Note that these fill up quickly so sign up soon and volunteer to hep as much as you can. It is preferable not to have to be the one on the floor needing the CPR. The only thing worse is if there is no one trained to do the CPR and still be there on the floor anyway.

We had a great presentation to the Plymouth City Counsel where our Heart Safe Committee gave the City the Automatic Electronic Defibrillators. They will be used in the new City Center.

Please remember to welcome Neha Markanda and Bruce Warren our two newest members. Invite them to coffee or lunch if you can and get to know them. Then help them to become active in our projects.

By being a member of Rotary you are a part of an organization that is constantly doing something good.

TALKING POINTS:

What is Rotary and WHY WOULD ANYONE CARE?
Rotary is a philanthropic organization that has a core group of committed volunteers in nearly every developed city in the world, who work to make their community a better place.
Here are 3 reasons for your friends to care:
  1. If you have moved here from somewhere else, and you join a local club, you can plan and do projects involving friends locally with those from anywhere you came from.
  2. Or for another example, when your local food shelf needs something, or someone, who can they ask and where do volunteers come from? Rotary Clubs supply money and volunteers for all sorts of our community charities.
  3. Rotary tries to measure everything with its four-way test. 1) Is it the truth? 2) Is it fair to all concerned? 3) Will it build good will and better friendships? 4) Will it be beneficial to all concerned? If something fails in any of those dimensions, it does not meet Rotary’s high-quality standards. We have been honored and welcomed to join.

THE OBJECT OF ROTARY
The Object of Rotary is to encourage
and foster the ideal of service as a
basis of worthy enterprise and, in
particular, to encourage and foster:
First The development of
acquaintance as an opportunity for
service;
Second High ethical standards
in business and professions, the
recognition of the worthiness
of all useful occupations, and
the dignifying of each Rotarian's
occupation as an opportunity to
serve society;
Third The application of the ideal of
service in each Rotarian's personal,
business, and community life;
Fourth The advancement of
international understanding,
goodwill, and peace through a
world fellowship of business and
professional persons united in the
ideal of service.

If you are receiving this Bulletin and you are no longer a member, or never were a member, the reason it is coming to you is that we want you to consider becoming a member now. We want you in our club. If no one has personally said it recently, consider this your invitation to come as soon as you can. You are important to us.

LUNCH:

To order lunch you must let James know your order before Tuesday of the week of our meeting. We need to have a minimum number of orders to make it worthwhile for the vendor. It is always some work for James. You can have a standing order as well. His e-mail is: JAMES E WILLIAMS <jwilli99@comcast.net>

Thank you for being a part of Plymouth Rotary Club!

3  Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4  Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
