Please remember that it is each club member's duty to bring a speaker or two each year. We are now dividing into quarterly teams for this purpose. More information will be distributed soon. We also will be requiring a volunteer for Club Secretary to manage the bulletins and the speakers when our new administration begins.
We now have invitation cards for our members to invite friends and colleagues to come and hear our great speakers. Please grab a couple, fill them out and give them to your friends, relatives and colleagues. This will be a lot less work, a lot more fun and a lot better for Plymouth if we have a lot more members. We must all do our part now in recruiting.
PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE TWO MORE NEW MEMBER APPLICATIONS!
Mary Ellen Martinson and Steve Springer have both applied to join us. Mary Ellen is the Receptionist at Broadwell Senior Living and Steve is a Consultant for Coretrack Leadership LLC. Clearly they will each bring us new connections and wisdom for our Club's growth. Please contact a member of the board for more information.

HEART SAFE TEAM
Today at the Rotary meeting I had a conversation with Lee Ziesmer, a new Club member.  Lee is finishing up his Red Cross training to be an instructor.  Lee said that a key reason for joining our club was to be able to work with us on the Heart Safe Plymouth program.  So, soon we will have another instructor on the team which is great.  Lee has already attended a couple of our trainings.

Good news for sure.  🤗

WHAT IS ROTARY ABOUT?
THE OBJECT OF ROTARY
The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

First The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

Second High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

Third The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

Fourth The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

ROTARIAN CODE Of CONDUCT

The following code of conduct has been adopted for the use of Rotarians:

As a Rotarian,

1. I will act with integrity and high ethical standards in my personal and professional life.

2. Deal fairly with others and treat them and their occupations with respect.

3. Use my professional skills through Rotary to: mentor young people, help those with special needs, and improve people's quality of life in my community and in the world.

4. Avoid behavior that reflects adversely on Rotary or other Rotarians.

5. Help maintain a harassment-free environment in Rotary meetings, events, and activities, report any suspected harassment, and help ensure non-retaliation to those individuals that report harassment.

THE FOUR-WAY TEST
The four way test of the things we think, say, or do:
1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all concerned?
3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

There is a Rotary Club in nearly every city in the world. We are united for philanthropy. Ask someone you know to join us.
FYI, there is a group of Rotarians visiting the WASH project in May, and there is one more open spot if any of our members would like to go.  I know James visited on the second project.  Believe the date is May 8 (?), 4 nights in country, cost around $1,900 + airfare.

If this fits any of our members’ schedules, they should contact Jim Nelson for details and to sign up.
