This meeting has been set aside to allow President Juetten to recap the 2015-2016 year and to thank members for making this a great year to be the President.
This Past Week, June 9, 2016 Meeting:
The meeting opened with the invocation by Dave Olson (thank you Dave for filling in), introductions and cards by Dwain Erickson, and fines by Margaret Li. We had no card winner this week so the money carries over to this coming week. President Juetten then read the riddles and answers - answers here, if you would like to know the riddle please read last weeks bulletin: 1) asteroid; 2) mask; and 3) darkness.
After President Juetten presented the Gift to the World award to Jim Crenna for the years of work and time that he has put into the annual fundraiser event, Jim Crenna provided members a history of the fundraiser and what we need to do to make this coming event the best that it can be. Over the next several weeks/months, Jim will be providing members with information on the event, what he needs help with and what we all can do to get sponsors and contributions. Stay tuned!

Experience life-changing growth. Become a Minnesota Reading Corps or Minnesota Math Corps tutor.
Would you love to help children grow their reading and math skills, succeed in school, and receive extra support from someone who cares? If your answer is yes, you can be trained to serve as a tutor with Minnesota Reading Corps or Minnesota Math Corps. Full time and part time positions are available state-wide!
We are looking for people who are dedicated to our community. By joining Minnesota Reading Corps or Minnesota Math Corps, you can be one of more than 1,300 trained tutors placed in schools across the state. You’ll also see real results and make a lasting impact in these students’ lives, as well as in your own career. You’ll not only tutor students who need extra support; you’ll make a meaningful connection with the school and our community.

Riddles
1) A man is sitting in a pub feeling rather poor. He sees the man next to him pull a wad of £50 notes out of his wallet. He turns to the rich man and says to him, "I have an amazing talent; I know almost every song that has ever existed." The rich man laughs. The poor man says, "I am willing to bet you all the money you have in your wallet that I can sing a genuine song with a lady's name of your choice in it." The rich man laughs again and says, "OK, how about my daughter's name, Joanna Armstrong-Miller?" The rich man goes home poor. The poor man goes home rich. What song did he sing?
2) How far can you run into the woods?
3) I am used to bat with, yet I never get hit. I am near a ball, yet it is never thrown. What I am?
The 4-Way Test: Of the things we think, say or do:
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
