Happy New Year!
Member Carol Parrish has connected with city officials in following through on a tribute to Mike Goldstein, who is retiring at the end of January. Plymouth's Paul Buck has provided a couple of options, including a tree planting or park bench. Installation of either item would not occur until spring 2021.
Members Henry Wang and Bruce Behm have good news to share about Rotary International with details below.
If you know of someone that would be available to speak at an upcoming meeting, please let me know. We have available time on January 28th and thereafter.
In planning for 2021, there's a call out for officers. Training starts the first quarter. Please contact me for details.
Thank you for being a part of Plymouth Rotary!
President Mary Christensen
PLYMOUTH ROTARY INTERNATIONAL UPDATE:
We have received donations from eight members plus we have a $100 cash donation.
As of 12-31-2020 we are halfway to our internal annual goal of $200/Member – we are at YTD $99/Member vs. District total YTD is $82/Member – go Plymouth Rotary!
This is from eight donors – Wow! We have two Paul Harris donations ($1000 or more), it would be great to get one or two more – please consider making your donation sooner than later.
So we still need to hear from the other 29 Members to reach and beat our goal.
Thank you for your Commitment to Rotary International. Henry and Bruce
SCHOLARSHIP THANK YOU: The following message is from one of our recipients of the Rotary Club Scholarships:
I just wanted to say thank you once again, to all the Rotartions, for the scholarship. I am very grateful that you guys choose me for the scholarship and will definitely make sure it goes to good use to help pay for college. I hope you guys had a great new year, and I look forward to my continued interactions with the Rotarians for the years to come.
Best regards,
Shane Povitz
ROTARY PROJECT UPDATE...the following is from Member Carol Parrish regarding Crescent Cove and the work completed last fall:
I thought you might like to see these photos I received from Stephen Mastey of the musical play pads installed at Crescent Cove. I was not aware that there would be two locations of instruments, but it makes sense after seeing the additional instruments that were donated.
