Good News! My computers are working on line again! Better news!! Our club will do CPR training at the City Hall this week instead of our regularly scheduled location at the Community Center. Training is from 11:30 - 1:30 pm in the Medicine Lake Conference Room in the Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, MN 55447. To participate you must sign up on Eventbrite. Our member Henry Wang did some on line research and discovered that comparable fire trucks are likley to sell at auction. A comparable truck is expected to sell for around $6,000.00 on the auction market.

 

Member Lee Zeissmer is also a member of the Lyons Club. They are willing to donate $10,000 for the project. 

 

Mayor Jeff, also a member of our club, has gotten Banner Engineering to pledge $10,000.00 to the project as well.

 

We could wait until the City retires the smaller truck which is not as valuable, but that may be six months out.

 

 

 

 

Hi all. I just got back from Ukraine and just wanted to check in. As far as I know the Plymouth truck donation is not moving forward. Is that correct or has anything changed?
 
As I mentioned before I'd love to have the truck but I do not want anyone trying to raise $100k to buy a fire truck. Just is not worth it and that isn't how we have done things in the past. It's all about finding truly surplus vehicles.  
 
Anyway I thought I'd just check in.
